She is thinking about the fact that if she terminates the pregnancy, the chemo she has will most likely leave her infertile! And what if she died anyway? At least the baby will have a dad

Why can't somebody explain to Martha that by waiting to have treatment after her baby is born will most likely mean that it's too late for her to survive? Bring a motherless child into the world because of her own selfishness, yeah that's smart.
